Joy and Johanna have been gathering the fresh spring nettles to create mineral rich vinegars.

Joy and Johanna harvested the first calendula flowers. This year we planted a special calendula variety. In a European study it was shown to have the highest faradiol triterpenoid content among 10 varieties tested. Faradiols are believed to be most responsible for calendula’s anti-inflammatory activity, and manufacturers now emphasize the importance of faradiols in their skin creams and ointments.
